Mr. Nuru is the Executive Director, North. Until his appointment, he was the Group Head, Enterprise Management, First City Group (FCMB), overseeing Human Resources, Administration & Logistics and Branch Development.

The Business Administration (Finance Major) graduate is a seasoned banker with two decades hands-on experience covering Corporate Finance, Consumer Banking, Public Sector, Treasury, Commercial/Retail Banking and Human Resources Management.

Prior to the banking consolidation, he had worked in the Nigerian Agricultural & Cooperative Bank Ltd, Oceanic Bank International and FSB International Bank Plc (now Fidelity), where he developed flagship products, grew the bank’s retail business and strengthened its presence in the Public Sector.

He has attended various training programmes locally and abroad covering areas of Treasury Management, Credit Analysis/Structuring, Marketing & General Management and Human Resources. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
