Suzanne Iroche is the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of FinBank Plc. She graduated from the University of Lagos with a B Sc. Economics (Honours) and received a Masters in Management from the J. L. Kellog Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, Illinois USA. She has several years cognate experience in the banking industry, which commenced with First Bank in 1981 after which she moved to International Merchant Bank, in 1982. In 1988 she joined Chartered Bank Ltd as a Manager to set up the Treasury Division from inception and was later promoted to Assistant General Manager to head the Corporate Banking Department where she handled a diversified portfolio of companies. In 1995, Suzanne joined UBA where she managed the Foreign Exchange trading function and offshore investment portfolio for the bank. In 1998, she moved to the Corporate Banking (Multinationals Group) as Head of Division and in 2003, she was transferred to Head the Treasury and Financial Institutions (FI) Sector with responsibility for managing Foreign Exchange and domestic money markets and the Assets & Liability Management function of the bank. She became Executive Director, Wealth Management in 2005, with responsibility for the Asset Management, Pension Custody, Trustee business and Treasury & FI of the bank. In June 2006, she took on the responsibility as ED, Global Bank with responsibility for supervision and expansion of the UBA’s banking franchise outside Nigeria, which she combined with responsibility for Multilateral Financial Institutions and Correspondent Bank relationships. She has attended several courses covering Leadership, Credit and Selling Skills among others, both locally and abroad. |
